Our Story
About Casa Luna
Sustainable, secluded and exclusive. A slow-stay on 12 acres in the Adelaide Hills.
How It Began
Five Years of Watching the Sun
Scott spent five years on this land before he built anything. Just watching. Where the sun rises. Where it sets. Where the wind drops off. "It's just a product of standing there for five years, seeing where the sun sets and rises, and adjusting." Every window and sightline came from that.
Casa Luna is an 85-square-metre architect-designed home on a 12-acre organic farm in Bridgewater. Built in 2022. Fully off-grid — solar panels, Tesla Powerwalls, rainwater tanks. No mains anything. "We wanted to make something robust enough to last for a long time."
Scott and Mary care for the Highland cows, the land, the native bush. One property, one booking at a time. No other guests. Just you.

What Makes Casa Luna Different
The Home
Queen Koala bed. Eva mattress. Hydronic heated floors. Monsoon rain shower. Full kitchen with gas cooktop and dishwasher. Handmade interiors featuring ethically sourced designer furnishings. Floor-to-ceiling windows onto the valley. 85 square metres — it doesn't feel like a tiny house.
The Farm
12 acres. Highland cattle in the paddocks. Kangaroos on the ridge at dusk. Native bush on three sides. It's like being in a little nature bubble. Nature is at your doorstep, though comfort abounds.
The Land
Solar panels. Tesla Powerwalls. Rainwater collection. No mains electricity, no mains water, no gas line. The house runs on sunlight and rain. Off-grid by design.
The Pace
Two-night minimum. No check-in kiosk. No other guests on the property. Panoramic infrared sauna. Outdoor bath. Fire pit. This is a slow-stay. You set the pace.
By Design
It's essential for us to care for the planet.
The house generates its own power and collects its own water. No mains electricity. No mains water. No gas line. The organic farm is chemical-free. The building materials were chosen to last, not to impress. "It's essential for us to care for the planet."
Come and see for yourself.
